May 22, 2016 - “Electric Tulip” returns to the Festival with hip music and another firework masterpiece capturing the essence of the hottest musical genre of our time, Electronic Dance Music (EDM).
Entertainment, Events, and Displays
At the New indoor Aberdeen Tulip Pavilion at Lansdowne Park, from Sunday to Wednesday, from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, and on Thursdays to Saturdays, from 9:00 am to 12:00 am, you can enjoy events, art displays, and live performances, as well as international beer, wine, and cuisine. The Canadian Tulip Festival at the Aberdeen Pavilion opens on Thursday, May 12, at 7:00 pm.
Tulips, by the millions
A million blooms in more than a dozen varieties along the Tulip Route, and at “Tulip Central” in Commissioner’s Park beside Dow’s Lake and the historic Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
DOO DOO the Clown
DOO DOO the Clown has Daily Shows from May 14 - 23, 2016.
Vintage WWII Vehicles and Re-enactors
Enjoy the interactive educational WWII encampment of vintage vehicles and re-enactors the weekend of May 14 - 15, 2016 on the Great Lawn at Lansdowne Park.
International Pavilion Friendship Stage
Cultural music and dance presentations daily from the National Capital Region’s diverse international community, and embassies from all over the world. Aberdeen Tulip Pavilion, Lansdowne Park.
Festival of India Performs at the Canadian Tulip Festival
A series of classical, folk and Bollywood dances and music on the International Pavilion Friendship Stage at the Aberdeen Tulip Pavilion from 3:30 to 6:30 pm on Sunday May 22, 2016
Horse-drawn Wagon Rides
Organized by the Merchants of Preston Street. Wagons will start at Dow’s Lake and take you on a tour of Preston Street, in Ottawa’s Little Italy. The Wagon rides are free and run weekends from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
